WHAT YOU’LL DO
- You lead the technical delivery of complex telecommunications security projects across mobile, fixed, core, IMS, signaling, interconnection, eSIM, APN, and radio access networks.
- You manage end-to-end security assessments covering Air Interface Security, Interconnection Security, VoLTE/VoNR Security, eSIM Security, APN Security Assessments, and security benchmarking engagements.
- You act as the technical lead for customer engagements, defining scope, planning activities, overseeing execution, ensuring quality, and presenting results to technical and executive stakeholders.
- You guide and mentor project teams throughout assessments, ensuring technical consistency, delivery excellence, and adherence to timelines.
- You answer complex customer questions in workshops, project reviews, steering committees, and executive presentations as a recognized telco security expert.
- You design and improve security benchmarking methodologies, assessment frameworks, scoring models, technical runbooks, and testing procedures.
- You develop scripts, tools, and automation capabilities that increase the efficiency, repeatability, and scalability of telecom security services.
- You contribute to product development initiatives, including automated security benchmarking platforms, AI-supported assessment workflows, and reporting automation.
- You perform and oversee protocol-level analysis, vulnerability validation, attack simulations, configuration reviews, and risk assessments across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G environments.
- You translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for engineers, architects, management teams, and customer decision makers.
- You help shape the future of telecom security services by driving innovation, technical excellence, and the evolution of our security portfolio.
WHO YOU ARE
- You bring several years of hands-on experience in telecommunications security, mobile network security, core network security, radio access security, interconnection security, or related technical security domains.
- You have a strong end-to-end understanding of mobile technologies from 2G to 5G, including radio access, core network, IMS, roaming, interconnect, APN, eSIM, and service-layer architectures.
- You understand telecom network architecture across both radio access networks (2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G) and core network domains (voice, data, IMS, and 5G Standalone).
- You possess deep knowledge of telecom signaling and core network protocols such as SS7, Diameter, GTP, SIP/IMS, 5G SBI, NAS, RRC, PDCP, and Layer 3 radio messaging.
- You have gained practical experience with VoLTE, VoNR, IMS security, APN security assessments, eSIM security, air interface testing, interconnection security testing, and protocol-level vulnerability analysis.
- You are familiar with relevant industry standards, specifications, and regulatory frameworks, including 3GPP, GSMA, ETSI, NIS2, and DORA.
- You have experience with security benchmarking, scoring methodologies, maturity assessments, technical KPIs, and structured risk evaluations in telecommunications environments.
- You develop scripts, testing tools, automation frameworks, data processing utilities, technical dashboards, or productized assessment capabilities to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
- You bring experience with AI security, AI-supported security testing, AI-assisted automation, or the secure design and validation of AI-based security solutions, which is considered a strong advantage.
- You are able to technically lead multiple security projects, coordinate delivery teams, review technical outputs, challenge assumptions, and ensure high-quality customer deliverables.
- You communicate complex technical concepts effectively to network engineers, security specialists, architects, management teams, and customer stakeholders.
- You have excellent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus.
